Consolata Kabonesa

Consolata Kabonesa has over 10 years of specialised experience in
gender programming, gender training and research at both local
and international level. She has worked in a broad
international context including projects with the UK
Gove rnment Agency for Development (DFID), NORAD,
HIVOS (Dutch NGO), International Organization for
Migration (IOM), the US Government (USIA), Sida/SAREC,
Uganda Red Cross, several National Women’s Groups as well as several
Foundations, including: the Rockefeller Foundation, The Carnegie Corporation,
and the Ford Foundation.
Ms. Kabonesa holds a PhD in Human and Community Development and
currently works in the Department of Women and Gender Studies at Makerere
University, Uganda.
