2010 IAFFE ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Argentina, Facultad de Ciencias Economicas de la Universidad de Buenos Aires
Thursday, July 22 - Saturday, July 24, 2010 (Jueves 22 al Sábado 24 de Julio de 2010).

CONFERENCE THEME:
Global Economic Crises and Feminist Rethinking of the Development Discourse
(Crisis Economica Global Y Revision Feminista del Debate Sobre el Desarrollo)

Panel proposals and individual paper submissions are invited on any aspect of feminist inquiry into economic issues. We particularly welcome submissions that examine the effects of the current global economic crisis on women’s work and livelihoods and issues of migration, political participation, women’s autonomy, changing family structures, and social policies – particularly those affecting health and reproductive policies. We welcome themes such as North-South discourses/debates on development, domestic violence, feminist ecology, caring labor, sex work, international finance, and critical engagements with the intersections of race, ethnicity, and gender. IAFFE welcomes interdisciplinary approaches.

Proposals must be submitted on-line via Conference Maker unless you are unable to do so. The deadline for paper and panel submissions is April 1, 2010. We will announce acceptances by late April.

Note that paper submissions in Spanish are welcome. The title and abstract should also be in English.

If you experience problems using Conference Maker, you can e-mail your application to conference@iaffe.org. Please include your User ID, if you have created one, the Paper Title, Author(s), Keywords, an Abstract and up to two broad topic areas in which to situate your paper. If you would also like to include a full copy of your paper, add it as an attachment. You will then receive a confirmation with your Submission ID. If you have not succeeded in creating a user ID, please include full contact details for yourself. If you have further questions regarding the submission process, please contact conference@iaffe.org.

Only if you do not have internet access, please mail your proposal to:
