Note the important information below before beginning your submission.

Submission deadline for all submission types - March 15, 2023.

  • Not all sessions will have interpretation or be hybrid accessible. When submitting your session, you will need to indicate:
    • if your presenters will be in-person or virtual
    • if you require interpretation and in what language(s)
    • if you would like your session to have interpretation and why
  • Supporting young scholars:
    • We welcome session and panel  submissions with only 3 presenters/papers. It will give the Paper Selection Committee the opportunity to add a fourth paper to your session from the paper-only submissions of young scholars.
    • Please consider a fourth presenter who is a young scholar.
  • Poster Submissions
    • All posters must adhere to template/guidelines set by IAFFE.  Template/guidelines will available in mid-December.
    • There will be a Prize for best poster and honourable mention (jury TBA)
    • Poster sessions will be during lunch hours on July 6 and 7. Poster creators must be available in-person to explain and answer questions about their poster.
    • Logistics
    • All accepted posters will be printed by IAFFE in Cape Town and posted at the conference venue.  The deadline for submitting final poster in required format to IAFFE – June 14, 2023.
  • Appearances limitations:
    • All presenters/participants are limited to one paper or poster presentation and one roundtable/panel appearance. 
    • Additional co-authored papers or posters are allowed only if they are presented by the co-author who is not otherwise presenting.
    • Chairing a session/panel/roundtable is not included in these appearances limitations.
    • These limitations are in place to allow maximum participation by all members wishing to present/participate in the conference.
