Shaianne Osterreich is Associate Professor and Chair in the Economics Department at Ithaca College, in Ithaca, NY. She has been involved with IAFFE for 25 years and participated in the International Working Group for Engendering Macroeconomics. She earned her PhD from University of Utah in 2002. Her scholarship is currently centered around globalization, global value chains in manufacturing, decent work and gender differentiated employment effects. Her teaching includes classes on Race and Economic Power, Globalization and Human Development, Capitalism and Crisis, as well as International Trade and Intermediate Macro.
