Annual Conference

The Annual Conference serves as our primary platform for fostering the sharing of research, building connections, and encouraging cooperation among current and prospective members. The Conference typically brings together around 300-400 participants (and more online).

The next Conference will take place in Rome in July 2024.

IAFFE’s 2025 Annual Conference will take place at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

IAFFE’s Annual Conferences are thoughtfully crafted to offer an inclusive platform where ideas flow freely, and research pertaining to feminist perspectives on economic matters finds its voice and audience. They are as important for their thought-provoking plenary sessions, academic paper presentations and workshops, as for the many opportunities they offer for meeting others working in similar areas, for strategizing and for socializing. Each year’s Annual Conference venue also hosts other IAFFE events and activities during the week of the Conference, most notably the Feminist Economics School, a pre-Conference and Mentoring Workshop, IAFFE Board meetings and Feminist Economics Journal Editorial Board meetings. Several IAFFE Committees collaborate to organize the Annual Conference and related events and activities. Any IAFFE member may join a Committee.

Future Conferences
